AFCON 2023: HON. COMRADE LUKMAN OLUKAYODE AHMED, ADVICES HYPERTENSIVE NIGERIANS AHEAD OF FINAL MATCH AGAINST HOST COUNTRY

Hon. Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed, the former aide to Kwara State Governor on Friday, Saturday has urged Nigerians managing hypertension or have health challenge issues to avoid the final match of African Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Sunday.

Hon. Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed, in a statement obtained in Minna, Niger State capital, said the warning has become necessary following the reports of the death of some football fans/lovers caused by shock/heart attack during the semi -final match won by the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Bafana Bafana of South Africa last week Wednesday.

The Former aide called on Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Federal Government and their different State Governor's to pay tributes to the memory of those who lost their lives watching the match, noting that the departed deserves to be honored even in death. 

Nigeria Government, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and their different State Government needs to mourn people who died as a result of shock during the semi-final match.

One of those that lost their lives during the semi-final match are , Hon. (Dr) Cairo, former member of house of representatives from Delta State, a notable Nigerian business man operating in Ivory Coast, deputy bursar of university of Ilorin, Kwara State, Dr Eleyinla, a corps member in Kaduna, a 43-year- old man , Mikail Osundiji from Abeokuta,Ogun State.

They are several other unreported cases as well.

Finally, for God sake, those that have hypertensive cases and health issues that will bring shock or otherwise should stay away from watching the Final match against the host c
Country, Ivory Coast on Sunday.

Hon. Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed also commended the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON for providing the viewing center across all the 16 Local Government Areas of the State when a lot of citizens are battling with economy meltdown.

May Almighty God forgive all the dead ones shortcomings and give their families comfort to bear the irreplaceable lost.
