DEMOCRACY DAY: COMRADE LUKMAN OLUKAYODE AHMED ADVOCATES FOR DEMOCRATIC VALUES COMMENDED GOV ABDULRAHMAN ABDULRAZAQ


The former Special Assistant to the Governor of Kwara State on Poverty Alleviation Kwara Central, Hon. Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed has advocated for fairness, equity, and justice as we mark the 2023 Democracy Day.

He said " As we mark the 30 years of the June 12, 1993 Presidential election believed widely to have won by Chief Bashorun MKO Abilola, the Political class must live up to expectations by imbibing the leadership qualities of Chief MKO Abiola.

In a message made available to the press men on Monday in Ilorin, Hon. Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed said "Democracy enables a fair and representatives system of Government where each citizen has a voice and can participate in decision-making! He further said Democracy is about empowering individuals and promoting equality."

"It allows for the peaceful resolution of conflicts and fosters an environment where diverse opinions and perspectives can be heard and respected."
According to him, "on this special day, let us renew our commitment to upholding the principles of Democracy in our Community and beyond ".

"We must build institutions that will strengthen democratic virtues in the interest of the People".

"Nigeria's Democracy has been growing steadily. No doubt there are a few challenges but above all, the Country has sustained democratic processes at all levels ".

"As we reflect on the meaning of this day, we should also acknowledge the challenges that come with Democracy.

"While it is a powerful force for good, it is not perfect and requires constant effort and vigilance to protect against threats of corruption, inequality, and justice ".

"It is a new era for the Country and as such all hands must be on deck to support the new administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and the Governor of State of Harmony and Chairman Governor's Forum (NGF) Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) for the sake of nation building ".

"HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF NIGERIA".
