The leading Political group in North Central, Freedom Network Group has commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on his giant strides on Education sector in Kwara State.

The National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed made a press statement on his interaction with some journalist in Ilorin, the State capital this afternoon , 24th , January, 2022 , said that the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led- administration has done great well in improving the Standard of Education since his assumption of office as the Executive Governor of the State.
Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed visited the Institution today for an interaction with the Ag. Provost of the College, Dr Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla Agaka after the Nigeria University Commission (NUC) finish with the collation of data towards the accreditation of seven new degree courses in the College of Education , Ilorin in affiliation with Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

The courses accredited are as follows; Biology, Chemistry, English, French, Economics , Social Studies, and Early Childhood Care for Education.

In his remarks, the action Ag. Provost of the College, Dr Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla Agaka said " Today is unique because history is been made the first ever accreditation exercise for the Full-time degree programme is taking place.
As an Institution , we have gone through different stages of scrutiny before we got to the point of this accreditation. In 2018, a Resource Assessment visit was conducted by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC) and based on the visit , the Management Committee of Nigeria University Commission (NUC) , during the meeting on Friday, 31st, August, 2018, approved the affiliation arrangement of this College with Ekiti State University and Seven programmes were approved for Studies in our College". He said the College is the oldest owned College of Education in Nigeria, established in 1974.

The Ag. Provost of the College further said the College has all it takes to go to this accreditation exercise; human and infrastructure . The College have well-equiped laboratories and a main library stocked with up-to-date reading materials. The e-library is equal to international standard.
The Ag. Provost of the College, Dr Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla Agaka appreciated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the Hon. Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Barr Senior Ibraheem Suleiman for giving the institution all needed support towards ensuring that the accreditation exercise is being carried out successfully.
Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed said this accreditation exercise is an historical one which has to be credited to the action and active Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. Comrade Lukman Olukayode urge the Management and the good people of Kwara State to give their maximum support to his administration.
