ADIEU AND CELEBRATION OF LIFE AND TIMES OF HIS EXCELLENCY, CHRISTOPHER ADEBAYO ALAO AKALA.

Less than two years after the loss of His Excellency, Senator Abiola Adeyemi Akanji Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State. 

The National Coordinator ,members of Freedom Network Group both in Nigeria and Diaspora , shockingly got the SAD NEWS today, Wednesday, 12th, January 2022 of the demise of the Pillar of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, His Excellency, former Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala. 

Freedom Network Group sadly commiserates with the family members, friends and associates, members in Oyo State and Diaspora and especially the good people of Ogbomoso and Oyo State indigenes on the SAD and SHOCKING NEWS.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala was Born on 3rd June 1950.

He had his Primary Education at Osupa Baptist Day School, Ogbomoso.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala had his Secondary School Education at KAMINA Barrack Middle School and 5th Infantry School, both in TAMALE, GHANA.

Otunba Alao Akala came back to Nigeria in 1974 to be enlisted to Nigeria Police.

Former Governor Akala had Police Senior Officers Training at HENDON POLICE COLLEGE, United Kingdom.

Otunba Akala held several Command Positions like O/C Advanced Training wing of Police College, Ikeja.

DPO Bode Thomas, Iponrin, Nigeria Railway Quarter, Ebute Metta, all in Lagos.

CSP Yola Command, Old Gongola State.

CSP Admin, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in charge of Logistics and Supply, Eleyele Ibadan, where His Excellency, Otunba Akala retired in 1995.

Otunba Alao Akala joined Politics immediately and in 1996 participated in the Zero Party Elections.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala is one of the Co-founder of UNCP Political Party in 1996/97.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala contested and won Ogbomoso North Local Government CHAIRMANSHIP Election under the banner of ALL PEOPLES PARTY (APP) in December 1998 and ruled Ogbomoso North LG between May 29th 1999 to May 29th 2002.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala served as Deputy Governor to Alhaji Rashidi Ladoja between May 29th 2003 to January 2006.

Upon the impeachment of Former Governor Rashidi Ladoja, Otunba Alao Akala served as Governor of Oyo State between January to December 2006, when Supreme Court overturned the Impeachment and reinstate Governor Rashid Ladoja to complete his tenure on May 29th 2007.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala served as Governor of Oyo State between 29th May 2007-.May 29th 2011.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala defected to LABOUR PARTY on the 8th December 2014 from PDP and on the 10th December 2014 announced his intention to recontest for 2015 Gubernatorial Election.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala defected to APC on the 16th December 2017 at a well attended Defection Rally in MAPO HILL, Ibadan.

On October 2018, Otunba Akala defected to ADP to contest 2019 Gubernatorial Election.

Upon the 23rd Feb 2019  General Election, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala defected back to All Progressives Congress (APC), and

APC Oyo State appointed Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala to be the CHAIRMAN of RECONCILIATION  COMMITTEE after the 2019 GENERAL ELECTION because of Otunba Alao Akala's ability to mixed freely with the people.

Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala is blessed to be a POLYGLOT because he Speaks English, Yoruba, Hausa and TWI, FANTI & DAGBANI - GHANAIAN Languages fluently.
