Kogi State Government has approved the creation of Finance and Accounts Departments in Ministries, Departments and Agencies across the State. Commissioner of Finance and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Ashiru Idris, stated this while briefing newsmen at the end of the State Executive Council meeting at the Government House Lokoja. Ashiru said the Finance and Accounts Departments will also be created in extra-Ministerial departments and parastatals in the state. According to him, the State Head of Civil Service has been directed to ensure the full compliance of the creation.
