COMRADE LUKMAN OLUKAYODE AHMED REVEALS GIANT STRIDES OF GOVERNOR ABDULRAHMAN ABDULRAZAQ IN KWARA STATE

Considering the abundant human and natural resources that Kwara State is reputed to have , the State may not have measured up to her reputation, but for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

 Kwara was unrefined and lacked the basic infrastructure befitting of a confluence State before the incumbent Governor came into power in 2019.

The giant strides of the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has practically led to the rebuilding of Kwara State away from what many believe to be "Civil Servant" State. It should be acknowledged at this point that despite her meager share from the Statutory Federal Allocation and almost paltry Internally generated revenue, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is succeeding in achieving much with the meager resources.

These noble achievements are what I, Comrade Lukman Olukayode Ahmed sought to bring to the forethought what I teamed "AA LEGACY PROJECT" across the Three (3) Senatorial Districts of the State.

I described the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as a "SILENT ACHIEVER" whose main focus is to attend to the needs of the people through providing SOLID INFRASTRUCTURE without noise.

I decided to make these Achievements Known so the World can see and give fair appraisal.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is an oriented leader who conceived the idea of Education Trust Fund, Basic Education sector is not left out of the infrastructure turnaround in the State.

Primary Schools revealed that Construction/Renovation were carried out with the provision of recreational facilities and other modern learning materials like desktops, computers to many of the Schools across the Local Government Areas of the State.

It was gathered also that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq are ensuring the budget allocation for Education was increased from the total budget allocation from 2021 fiscal year and beyond.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has been fashioning out strategies to boost the quality of Education in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Institutions in Kwara State.

Immediately he assumed Office, he designed a policy framework that would change the face of Education to match up the World standard operations and to comply with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq embarked on the rehabilitation of dilapidated public schools buildings. At least 600 public schools are now undergoing renovation to provide a conducive learning environment.

He also provided Exercise books and other working tools for the Students aside from prompt payment of Teachers salaries.

Under the administration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq he has started massive remodeling of structures in Basic Schools across the State through the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWASUBEB),Kudos to the action and active Executive Chairman, Prof Sheu Adaramaja for the thorough monitoring of the projects to ensured compliance with the work plan across the Sixteen (16) Local Government Areas of the State.

Kwara State had Nigeria's highest outstanding UBEC funds, following the commission blacklisting the State previously for diverting what it accessed in 2013 by previous administration.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Government committed at least #14 Billion to revitalize the Basic Education sector across the State after accessing the #7.1 Billion UBEC funds, an accumulation of UBEC grants that were not accessed between 2014 - 2019.

Under Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration , the Management of Harmony Holdings Limited has opened up the newly built passenger service terminal of Harmony Transport Services Limited (Kwara Express) for use, and also the Digital online booking platform has commenced, this is a great turnaround management and reforms agenda currently ongoing at the age-old Transportation company under the dynamic Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration.

Kudos to my good friend and a brother, the Group Managing Director /Chief Executive Officer of Harmony Holdings Limited, Mallam Abdullahi Abdulmajeed for his commitments and role he played to make this a reality and successful turnaround of the Transportation sector in the State.

In the Health sector, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration has done a great job, so far, the Ministry has employed about Three Hundred (300) Healthcare workers , and another screening to employ about Two Hundred (200) JCHEW and SCHEW is ongoing.

Eight (8) Ambulances fitted with ICU equipments which is unprecedented in history of Kwara State has been procured. Kwara State Ministry of Health, under the leadership of Hon. Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Razaq captured about Sixty Thousand (#60,000) Kwarans under the Kwara State Health Insurance Scheme so far.

Also about Two Hundred (200) primary healthcare Centres were captured under the Basic Healthcare provision funds, which is an intervention attracted to the State as a result of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and these primary Healthcare Centres have so far received about #601,000 directly into the facilities account from the State primary Healthcare Development Agency, which is to benefit the indigents and children.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration also started renovating the primary Healthcare Centres across the State, about 25 Centres have been renovated.

Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration recently procured 2021 model of dialysis machines which is currently in use at General Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State.

On the Ministry of Water Resources, under Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration, Kwara State has dug Five Hundred (500) boreholes between June 2019 and July 2021 as part of efforts of Government to ensure that Kwarans get access to portable drinking water in the State, Kudos to the Hon. Commissioner for Water Resources ,Alh. Femi Agbaje Whyte for his selfless service and commitments to make sure that rural areas are given priority of having potable water in their respective locality in the State.

Under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration, Kwara State Government also released the sum of Seventy Six Million (#76M) to the Kwara State Community and Social Development Agency for the commencement of the NG-CARES fund from the World Bank, this will increase access of the poor to Basic Social Infrastructures to complement the State Government's effort in reducing the poverty level in the State, and the agency will serve as giving financial and technical support to interested Communities and Groups that have interested towards the implementation of their identified priority projects in the State.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration has commenced the lauch of Kwara State Social Impact Development Program (KWSIDEP) to support Non- governmental Organization, this is designed as a means to enhance and strengthen both private and public sector by providing avenues for unfettered interaction , learning and empowerment of the operations of these organization and practitioners in the State.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration has started construction of roads both in Rural and Urban areas of the State, and these serve as relief to the people in the State by having access good roads for ease traveling and doing business.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration also committed to due process in proper budgeting requirements and due process in it's financial obligations in line with the National Chart of Accounts.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is a model Governor in the way and manner his has judiciously utilized State resources in the last over two years , through creative financial engineering and management , to impact the lives of Kwarans.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has demostrated a personal example of Candour , Simplicity and Humility in Power.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is a great and Quintessential leader with a large heart, he is accommodating, straight forward fellow with fear of God.

I urge the Good people of Kwara State to continue giving him maximum support and cooperation to move the State forward.
