HON. OLAWALE RAUF EMPHASIZED ON DRUG ABUSE AT THE 7TH LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCY STAKEHOLDERS MEETING.

 Hon Rauf Olawale Age-Sulaiman of Amuwo Odofin constituency II, played a host to several stakeholders in and around his constituency at the Oriade Local Council Development Area Secretariat situated at Mumini Adio Badmus Road, Ijegun-Egba Satellite Town, Amuwo/Odofin Lagos, with this year's theme: INCREASING WAVE OF DRUG ABUSE: A THREAT TO NATION BUILDING.

 

✅The 7th Annual Constituency Stakeholders meeting as usual was held simultaneously in all 40 constituencies of the state.

This occasion was largely graced by The Executive Chairman Oriade LCDA, Hon Ramotalahi Akinlola Hassan and the Vice Chairman Hon Moshood Olarewaju Badmus, party leaders, the Hon Councillors, Obas in council, the C.D.C, community leaders, youths, students, teachers and various security agents .

In his address, he gave an insight into the importance of this kind of yearly interactive session as an opportunity to take inputs from constituents as this aggregation of demands form the bedrock of government policies.

While referencing the "theme, He advised that it takes a collaborative effort to fight the menace that may have arisen and its exigencies must be held with all seriousness so that we can have a saner society. 

In his word, he said we explore the potentials of our youths so that they can connect to immeasurable opportunities which is abound in different forms in order to achieve brighter futures.

He was also mindful of various other critical areas of his constituents interests such as road constructions.

Hon RaufOlawaleAge-Sulaiman, a relentless representative and lover of progress for his people, highlighted his efforts on bringing succour to the constituents in the areas of basic amenities and social infrastructures. Some of these efforts which have materialised i.e. supporting a government owned skill acquisition centre in his constituency with accomodations facilities, provision of boreholes, street lighting's, facilitating Construction of various school fences, approval/contracts awards on construction Mumin Adio Badmus road and Navy town road. He also hinted on old ojo road which has been approved but yet to be awarded. 

A representative of NDLEA was also on ground to deliver a lecture on drug abuse, its effect as it affects us. Drugs ruins, kills, but all of these can be averted if we take the bull by the horn.

The host, Hon. Olawale Rauf also used this opportunity to present higher education notebooks to students present at this occasion and assured that no public secondary school would be left out on this as far as Amuwo Odofin constituency ll is concerned. Everyone present also benefited from this .

He closed by advising the students and everyone that it's imperative on us to take the issue of drug abuse very seriously as it is seriously ravaging our society. He advised that we reorientate our wards and try to engage them from time to time.
